Accounting Assistant

1. Objective: 

Dealing with various accounting and finance situations as a major function of this position.

2. Primary activities and tasks include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Prepare and verify daily reports
  • Prepare daily journal entry
  • Liaise with managers and wider finance team to validate invoices
  • First level of Receivables chasing 
  • Ensure that the company‚Äôs policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
  • Help to ensure the completeness of all billing and contract information 
  • Reconcile bank accounts on daily bases
  • Communicate with managers and others for incoming invoices reconciliation
  • Prepare authorized refund vouchers
  • Compile monthly reports
  • Maintain petty cash & cash accounts
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules
  • Monitors statements, ledgers and accounts to identify unusual or overdue items and selects the
  • correct procedure to verify or adjust discrepancies or errors by analyzing accounting options
  • Undertake finance administrative tasks to support the efficient running & growth of MTE operation
  • Continuously strives for improvement in performance of all responsibilities

This position reports to Finance Manager

5. Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

6. Education and/or Experience, Certificates:

Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, or other Financial background

7. Other Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written and spoken English
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Results oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and time line
